London’s Best Corporate Summer Party

An epic stage build on a rooftop

It’s our personal belief that the Kobalt Music Group and their record label branch AWAL are one of the coolest companies in London. We have the honour of hosting the yearly Kobalt & AWAL summer socials, a series of incredible events, on the rooftop of Cannon Street Station. 

Given our client’s high-profile name in the Music industry, a plethora of talented artists, bands and DJs were expected, including some high-profile names from BBC Radio 1. We provided full sound and lighting technical rider support and fulfilment, ensuring each act had all the technical equipment needed for a faultless performance.

Alongside technical delivery, we provided full artist rider support, ensuring every performance ran seamlessly. A full round bar served over 1,000 guests across the two-week event series, creating a vibrant and high-energy atmosphere that reflected the identity of the brand and its audience.

Logistics & Planning

Delivering in a complex environment

With access limited to a shared pedestrian lift, the build required detailed planning, extensive risk assessments and careful coordination with building management. Key components were escorted through the building and installed with precision, ensuring minimal disruption while maintaining a safe and efficient setup. By retaining elements of the rig between events, we also optimised delivery and reduced costs without compromising on quality.

The Kobalt & AWAL summer socials were recognised by Music Week as one of the industry’s best events, reflecting both the ambition of the concept and the quality of its delivery. With additional events delivered for clients including Google on the same rooftop, the project stands as a strong example of how complex environments can be transformed into high-impact, large-scale experiences.
